It’s Living Wage Week and we’re showing our commitment to employees by being part of The Service Provider Recognition programme.
FGH Security achieved Service Provider status with the Living Wage Foundation in 2017. Their scheme recognised that it is not always possible for companies to implement the living wage for all contracts however as part of the scheme a Provider (FGH) will always communicate to clients that the Living Wage is always an option. We do this by proving a Living Wage bid alongside every market rate submission to all our prospective clients. This means our clients always have a choice in implement the Living Wage at the point of tender.
The Living Wage Foundations Service Provider Recognition programme recognises that FGH wants to play a role and support the aims of the Living Wage Foundation furthering best practice in the industry.
FGH is a values-led company and this commitment reinforces our value to ‘Look After Our Team’ by enabling our staff to focus on providing excellent service to our clients. We hope to be the benchmark for companies in our industry and hope to set an example for the rest of the industry to follow. This commitment is our way of demonstrating the significance of employee welfare both internally and to the wider security industry.
Managing Director, Peter Harrison added, “It was great to see the 4.9% increase in the National Living Wage during last weeks’ budget. The work done by the Real Living Wage Foundation shows there is still some way to go. We look forward to an upward review of all our pay rates in due course. I would welcome a conversation with any of our current customers, about the benefits of paying the Real Living Wage”.
