Manchester Pride Spring Benefit

manchester-pride-securitymanchester-pride-door-supervisorsLast night Manchester Pride held it’s Spring Benefit, which was an opportunity for the charity to raise more money for the Manchester Pride Community fund. Since 2003, the charity has raised and distributed over £1.2million, supporting LGBT and HIV groups and organisations, both large and small. Besides providing welcoming and friendly Door Supervision staff for the event some of our management team and guests attended to help support the charity. As with all of our clients we always look to support any charity or fundraising activity that they undertake in any way we can.

The event was held at The Monastery which is Pugin’s architectural masterpiece and is listed in the top 100 most endangered sites in the world alongside the Taj Mahal and the ruins of Pompeii. Following a £6.5 million restoration scheme the site has been brought back to it’s former glory and was an amazing space in which to hold the event. Besides a full choir entertainment on the night included; Jack Pack, Dionne Bromfield and Andrew Hayden-Smith. Members of the cast from both Hollyoaks and Coronation Street also attended the event.

fgh-security-management-team“Again this was another amazing night orgainised by the Manchester Pride team,” explained Wesley Downham, who attended the event. “The Monastery was an excellent choice of venue and you could see the look of awe on people’s faces as they were led through to be seated for dinner. It was also great to see everyone digging deep for the charity auction, as every pound raised makes a real difference to people’s lives.”
