Movember 2015 saw another storming effort by the FGH Security Mo Bros with a full range of ridiculous facial hair from the ‘Handle Bar’ to the ‘Dali’ and everything in between. Peter Harrison, Managing Director, pledged to sport a different mo every week in the month and praised “a really good effort from all the staff from across the company to show how much FGH Security care about men’s health issues. Based on the success that we have had this year next year we’re looking to champion this across the security industry as a whole so we can come together to raise even more for these important causes.”
Total money raised by the team is £4915, placing us in the top 40 teams across the UK, ahead of teams from Amazon, LinkedIn, Allianz and HSBC. This total makes it FGH Security’s most successful Movember effort ever, topping the £4,200 raised in 2013.
Additional funds were raised by a sponsored climb of Skiddaw by 27 staff members. The climb was organised by Ady Holland, senior staff member and Head Door Supervisor from Dalton Rooms. It was attended by staff from right across the company. Team members ascribed the success of the day to the clement weather conditions with the wind frequently dropping to less than 60mph and the rain gliding in elegantly sideways. Ady did tell us what he thought of the success of the event, but the wind was blowing so strongly that we couldn’t hear anything he said!
A year’s supply of Gillette Fusion Razors and FGH Storm Umbrella are being awarded to…
Dom Jenkins, for the most individual money raised (£366)…
Ady Holland, for the most effort put into the event and…
Ian Kane, for the best individual mo, a spectacular Handle Bar cast in Flaming Ginger that was picked up by the Daily Mirror whilst he was working alongside the singer Anastasia.
Thank you so much to everyone who took part in growing a Mo and especially to all the sponsors. If anyone didn’t get chance to donate or wants a better look at the companies Moustaches the link is here: http://moteam.co/security-mo-bros
