Providing to Blackpool Pride for a second year

Last weekend saw us managing the security provision for Blackpool Pride at the Winter Gardens for a second year and with attendees being up, even on the fantastic numbers of last year, FGH was proud to witness Blackpool celebrating its diversity. The event consisted of a Pride parade and festival complete with gala atmosphere.. This year the festivities moved into the Winter Gardens Ballroom to make use of this iconic space and increase the capacity for headline acts including Jedward, Jake Quickenden and other Pride favourites.

This year FGH sought to draw upon our now extensive experience of securing Pride events and build upon already productive working relations with event organisers and the Winter Gardens Management Team. This enabled us to deploy a diverse team of personable, helpful and knowledgeable security operatives; a perfect fit with the event’s ethos of cultural diversity and inclusion. In addition to this Amy Stanley (Operations Supervisor) and David Hassall (Senior Manager) attended all relevant planning meetings and post-event debriefings to offer their experience, insight and champion client needs and requirements.

“It was great to be part of Blackpool Pride again and it’s really satisfying to watch the event grow year on year,” said Amy. “I’m proud to watch our staff go the extra mile at every opportunity. I know this made a real difference to everyone attending the event. If we look at the great work that we do with Pride events across the country now it’s easy to see why we are the security company of choice for events focusing on the LGBT community”
