This weekend we continued to work with the University of Salford by providing event security operatives to the Atmosfield festival. Atmosfield was a one day music festival across 3 stages which took place in Salford’s Peel Park. The festival was designed to be a celebration for students after completing their exams and to kickstart the summer festival season. The festival had a range of live entertainment and headline acts included The Hoosiers, Sub Focus and MistaJam.
“We have been established as specialists in providing to student venues for over ten years now and whilst Lancaster University’s Extravs are an outside event it was great to be working with the Atmosfield team at this dedicated student focused festival. It allowed the event organisers to capitalise on our skill and experience base to make sure their first event got off to the best possible start,” explained Alex Redman, who was the Operations Manager who oversaw the event. “As always our focus was on providing knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff who enhanced the event for every visitor. In our experience this makes a real difference on people’s impressions of a festival. I also think that it’s an excellent idea that any profit made from the event this year are being put straight back in to helping it grow.”
Alex Thorpe (Vice President of the University of Salford Students’ Union and is the founder and director of Atmosfield Festival) said,”Everything was brilliant from a security point of view, Chris (the FGH Security Supervisor) was brilliant,” and he also said, “All of your staff were great and friendly.”
